Jingming Hot Spring Resort

A national organic tea production base and a demonstration tea garden of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas. Located in Jingxiyuan Town, Jiexi County, it is surrounded by the Puhui and Shenshan expressways, 25 kilometers from Jiexi County and 35 kilometers from Jieyang City. It is a comprehensive tourist attraction integrating ecological tea gardens, sightseeing, conferences, and leisure vacations. Construction began in February 2003, and it opened in January 2004.

The resort covers a total planned area of 10,072 mu, with a core area of 52 mu. The Tropic of Cancer runs through the site. Five lakes—Jade, Ming, Mirror, Emerald, and Cup—surround five mountain ridges: Cloud, Dragon, Emerald, Pine, and Peacock. Pavilions, corridors, and winding paths are nestled among the lake views and mountain scenery.

The resort follows the development concept and functional positioning of “Revering the Righteous Qi of Heaven and Earth, Enjoying Leisure in Life,” and is equipped with tourism facilities based on the six essential elements: travel, transportation, accommodation, dining, entertainment, and shopping. The main area features over 20 attractions, including the Jingming Great Wall, Water World, Animal Viewing Park, and Jingming Pagoda, showcasing the essence of the resort’s natural landscapes and tourism resources, as well as reflecting its main character and functions. The special scenic area mainly includes the Jingming Tea Garden, Tea Art Gallery, and Tea Mountain Gallery, highlighting the profound cultural heritage of Chinese tea culture.

Jingming Tea Garden: Covering an area of 2,500 mu, this terraced ecological tea garden cultivates over 20 high-quality tea varieties, including oolong tea. It is the province’s first modern tea production base integrating planting, production, processing, sales, sightseeing, and research.

Water World: Spanning 2,200 mu, it offers nine different styles of boats, including Italian gondolas, animal-shaped boats, and water bicycles.

Animal Viewing Park: Covering an area of 110 mu, it is home to animals such as Siberian tigers, black bears, red pandas, and over 80 species of birds, including peacocks.

Jingming Great Wall: Located in the central part of Jingming Resort, it is built in the style of the Badaling to Shanhaiguan section of the Great Wall, with a total length of 1.6 kilometers. It features statues of the Tang Monk and his disciples on their journey to the West and the Eighteen Arhats.

Multi-functional Service Center: The entertainment center includes a hot spring leisure area, a golf driving range, and other facilities, as well as a food center offering Central Plains, Chaoshan, and Hakka cuisine. There are various types of guest rooms, 258 suites in Villa No. 8, the 2,000-seat Jingming Cultural Square, and multi-functional conference halls in various styles that can accommodate nearly a thousand people simultaneously.

Xinhong Village: Xinhong Village is located on the northwestern edge of Jingxiyuan Town. The village has a total population of 5,847 and consists of 23 natural villages. It has 1,620 mu of arable land and 7,250 hectares of mountainous land. In 2009, the annual per capita income of farmers was 4,329 yuan. The nationally renowned AAAA-level tourist attraction, Jingming Hot Spring Resort, is situated within the jurisdiction of Xinhong Village.
