Guishan Site

The Guishan Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Guishan Site is located in Er’tang, Jinzhou, Guihu Town, Chao’an County. It dates back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to the Han Dynasty and was discovered in 1982. The site covers an area of approximately 500 square meters. Excavated pottery includes jars, boxes, bowls, and lids, adorned with decorative patterns such as checkered designs, wavy lines, comb-stamped dots, ripple marks, vein patterns, triangular motifs, stamped checkered imprints, and double-line intersecting checkered patterns. The remains are mainly distributed on the western hillside.

Guhu Town: Located in the northern mountainous region of Chao’an County and bordering the Han River, Guhu Town is adjacent to Wenzhi Town and Fenghuang Town to the east, Xiangqiao District to the south, Chifeng Town and Wanfeng Forest Farm to the west, and Fenghuang Town to the north. It is a mountainous town formed in 2002 through the restructuring of administrative divisions by the provincial Party committee and government, consolidating the former Guhu Town and the former Fengnan Town. The town covers a total area of 157.9 square kilometers, governs 32 administrative villages and 2 neighborhood committees, and has a total population of 31,300. Among them, three villages—Wan Yao, Shan Li, and Xi Mei Ling Jiao—are ethnic minority villages with a population of 750.
