Lianyang Bridge

Lianyang Bridge is the essential route connecting Chenghai’s urban area with the towns of Lianxia, Lianshang, and Dongli. In the past, people often used the old Lianyang Bridge, but nowadays most take the new one. There used to be a toll station known as the Third Bridge Toll Booth here, but it was later demolished, so now the road is clear all the way. Traffic jams sometimes occur here, and there are many motorcycles.

Beneath the bridge flows the Han River, which is also the estuary of this famous river in the Chaoshan region. The river empties into the South China Sea at Batou Town in Chenghai and the grandeur of the waterway can be glimpsed from the bridge, offering another unique experience.
