The Ancestral Aunt Temple is a cultural relics protection unit of Shantou City.

The Ancestral Aunt Temple is located in Houxi Village, Longdu Town, Chenghai District. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On March 22, 2010, the Ancestral Aunt Temple was designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Shantou City.

Houxi Village: Houxi Village is situated in the central part of Longdu Town, adjacent to Dianshi on the east side. Originally a port, the village derived its name from the small stream, Houxi, that flowed into the harbor upstream. As the harbor dried up over time, a settlement gradually formed, hence the name “Houxi” (meaning “Rear Stream”). The entire village is surnamed Jin, with over 1,700 households, nearly 7,000 residents, and approximately 1,300 acres of arable land, mainly cultivating rice, guava, and vegetables. Industry is primarily composed of small-scale handicraft workshops. The village is known as an overseas Chinese hometown, featuring one school and one waterworks funded by overseas donations.
