The Feng Ancestral Hall of Nantian is located at No. 29, Zhengjie Street, Liucun, within the jurisdiction of Zumiao Subdistrict. It is a complex of ancestral hall and residential buildings. Covering an area of approximately 3,500 square meters, it was built by the Feng family, who had settled here during the Ming Dynasty, in the late Ming and early Qing periods. The scale of the complex is quite large, and it was renovated after the mid-Qing Dynasty. The main buildings, consisting of the entrance gate, front hall, main hall, and residential quarters, are arranged sequentially along a central longitudinal axis. All structures feature three bays each, with flush-gable roofs and wok-handle-style fire walls, forming a four-courtyard layout over four successive sections, with a total built-up area of 500 square meters. The entrance gate is elevated above street level and approached by stone steps. Its front eaves’ framework exhibits characteristics typical of local temples and ancestral halls, giving it a solemn and dignified appearance. On both sides are Qingyun Lanes and gate towers. In front of the ancestral hall lies a spacious courtyard (Ditang), which includes stone lions, commemorative stelae, and stone flagpole bases. Nearby, there used to be multiple properties belonging to the clan, forming a self-contained compound, though these no longer exist today. Over the course of several hundred years during the Ming and Qing dynasties, more than ten members of the Feng family served as officials or engaged in business outside the locality. Although the family eventually relocated elsewhere, they consistently returned to Foshan every spring and autumn for ancestral worship without interruption until the early years of the Republic of China. This ancestral hall serves as important physical evidence for studying the architecture, residence, worship practices, estate management, and folk customs of ancient clans in Foshan. It is now used as residential housing. In 1998, the Feng Ancestral Hall of Nantian was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Zumiao Subdistrict: Located in the northeastern part of Chancheng District, Foshan City, Zumiao Subdistrict is bordered by Guilan Road to the east, Jihua Road to the south, Foshan Avenue to the west, and the northern bank of the Fenjiang River to the north. It covers an area of 21.5 square kilometers, with a population of about 600,000. The subdistrict governs 64 administrative villages (residential committees) and is the core area of downtown Foshan. It hosts the offices of the Foshan Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, and concentrates most of the city's key cultural, educational, medical, and social welfare institutions. It is now the political, economic, commercial, and cultural center of Foshan.
