Tiejun Park is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

Tiejun Park is located on Fenjiang West Road in Chancheng District, Foshan City, by the Jiangwan Overpass. Situated in the bustling city center, the park covers a total area of 13,000 square meters. Its foundation was laid on July 1, 1991, and it was completed on October 1 of the same year.

Tiejun Park features a novel design, a beautiful yet solemn environment. The main entrance of the park is a nearly 1,000-square-meter Tiejun Square, where a full-body statue of the martyr Chen Tiejun stands tall in the center for visitors to pay their respects. Tiejun Park is a site where people from all walks of life in the city come to mourn during Qingming Festival and revolutionary memorial days. It is currently one of the few commemorative theme parks in Chancheng District. Especially during the annual Qingming period, many government agencies, enterprises, communities, primary and secondary schools, and military units organize officials, civilians, teachers and students, soldiers, and others to come to the park for memorial activities such as worship, tomb sweeping, and oath-taking. Tiejun Park has become an important cultural site for honoring revolutionary martyrs and providing patriotic and national defense education to the general public.

In the northwest corner of the park, there is a 250-square-meter Chen Tiejun Martyr Memorial Hall. Inside the exhibition room of the hall, there is a plaster bust of martyr Chen Tiejun, an exhibition introducing her deeds, and some of the personal belongings she used during her lifetime. The exhibition of Chen Tiejun’s deeds includes nine sections: 1) The Spirit of the Iron Army Shines on Future Generations; 2) A Young Lady from a Noble Family; 3) Baptism by the Tide of the Times; 4) Pioneer Soldier of Revolutionary Enlightenment; 5) Unwavering Determination and Fearless Dedication; 6) Heroic Sacrifice in the Fiery Crucible; 7) Choosing Death over Surrender and Dying for a Just Cause; 8) Noble Character and Everlasting Legacy; 9) A Role Model for Youth and Eternal Admiration. These sections comprehensively and truthfully depict Chen Tiejun’s moving and heroic life of struggle for the revolution using photographs and newspaper clippings. The content is rich, touching, and carries significant ideological, educational, and emotional appeal. It is an excellent place for patriotic education.

The park is an open public facility and is open to the public free of charge all year round. The Chancheng District Public Utilities Bureau is responsible for the park's landscaping and sanitation according to the management mechanism, while the Ancestral Temple Cultural Relics Management Office is in charge of the opening of the Martyr Memorial Hall.

Located at Shanting Lane, Fuxian Road in Chancheng District, Chen Tiejun’s former residence is preserved as the place where she lived during her youth. This residence is a Qing Dynasty-style civilian house in Foshan, featuring a traditional two-courtyard quadrangle layout. It still retains the room where the martyr lived, the rosewood furniture she used, as well as her stationery, seals, and a silk scarf she embroidered herself. It is an important patriotic education site in Foshan. In 1998, the Foshan Municipal People’s Government designated it as a cultural relic protection unit.

Chen Tiejun (1904–1928), female, originally named Xiejun, was born in a family of overseas Chinese merchants in Foshan Town, Nanhai (now part of Foshan), with ancestral roots in Xinning (now Taishan). In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), influenced by the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal progressive ideas of the May Fourth Movement, she distributed leaflets advocating gender equality and democracy and science. In the ninth year of the Republic (1920), she transferred to the Foshan Jihua Girls’ Primary School, which adopted a new educational system. After graduation, she broke free from the constraints of a feudal marriage and went to Guangzhou in search of revolutionary truth.
