Visiting Lingnan Tiandi is mostly about strolling and leisure. Well-preserved historical structures such as the Jian Family Villa and Longtang Poetry Society, along with enticing street food and artistic shops, are all worth exploring at a relaxed pace.

During the day, you’ll find old houses and lush ancient trees, but when night falls and neon lights glow, the area reveals a modern urban vibe — a fascinating contrast.

Foshan Lingnan Tiandi takes as its development axis the Ancestral Temple, Donghuali, and the historic district, using modern methods to protect and renovate 22 cultural relic buildings and numerous outstanding historic structures within the area. It preserves historical lanes, creates open spaces with appropriate scale, and covers a planned net land area of 520,000 square meters with a total construction area of 1.5 million square meters. Rather than replicating the design model and concept of Shanghai Xintiandi or other projects by the same company on the mainland, the entire project will use modern techniques to transform outstanding historic buildings in the Donghuali area of the Ancestral Temple with typical Lingnan-style residential architecture. These will include multi-functional facilities such as residences, office buildings, retail, dining, entertainment, tourism, and culture. The goal is to continue Foshan’s local charm while establishing a new city landmark.

At the same time, Foshan Lingnan Tiandi will fully explore Foshan’s cultural characteristics as the hometown of Cantonese opera, pottery, martial arts, and cuisine. By introducing various cultural and modern facilities, it aims to become a comprehensive community that showcases the essence of Foshan’s urban culture, promoting the development of Foshan as a cultural hub and an international modern economic powerhouse. Lingnan Tiandi uses modern approaches to transform precious historic buildings with typical Lingnan residential styles in the Donghuali area of the Ancestral Temple. While retaining the original charm of the historic structures, it incorporates modern fashion elements, achieving a harmonious blend of history and contemporary style.
