Wenhuili Bridal House

Wenhuili Bridal House is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

Wenhuili Bridal House is located on Wenhuili Street in the urban area of Foshan. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it originally served as the residence of a wealthy local family but was later converted into a bridal house for rent, providing a temporary venue for wedding banquets for residents with limited living space. Covering a total area of about 350 square meters, it is a three-bay single-story house with a width of 11.2 meters. The entrance hall, also called the sedan chair hall, was used for parking sedan chairs. It is then followed by a three-courtyard layout. The exterior walls are constructed from polished blue bricks. The eaves feature intricately carved wooden flower panels. The gable walls on both sides are adorned with niche-style brick carvings. At the center stands a large floor-standing wooden carved screen. The architectural elements inside the four-pillar main hall—including the flower stand, lattice windows, and spandrels—are all wood carvings with auspicious meanings, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship.

In 1998, the Foshan Municipal People's Government designated it as a cultural heritage site.
