Zhongshan Hot Spring is located at the southern foot of Luosanmei Mountain in Yongmai Village, Sanxiang Town, Zhongshan City. It borders Hong Kong and Macau, is 20 km north of downtown, 15 km from Zhuhai and 26 km from Macau to the south, 24 km from Shiqi District, and 10 km from the former residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in Cuiheng Village. It is close to the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and National Highway 105. Zhongshan Port and Jiuzhou Port, as well as Zhuhai Airport, are nearby, forming a well-developed sea-land-air transportation network that connects all parts of the country.

Zhongshan Hot Spring is a comprehensive hot spring resort complex consisting of hotels, Luosanmei Mountain, a 36-hole golf course, and the Xianmu Garden Hot Spring with 38 pools. Covering an area of 2.2 million square meters, the resort features themed hot spring baths, tennis courts, shooting ranges, and other leisure and entertainment facilities. It also offers a full range of tourism and business amenities, making it one of the 16 best scenic spots in the province. Zhongshan Hot Spring is one of the earliest developed hot springs in Guangdong after Conghua Hot Spring.

Zhongshan Hot Spring is a “sodium chloride” spring with high-quality water rich in minerals such as metasilicic acid, chlorine, sodium, iron, copper, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and sulfates. The spring water temperature reaches up to 93°C. Soaking in the spring can help regulate bodily functions, promote metabolism, improve blood circulation, and is particularly effective for conditions such as hypertension, chronic neuritis, arthritis, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, and neurasthenia. However, it is not suitable for people with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The hot spring has an abundant water supply, with daily outflow reaching up to a thousand tons.

Covering an area of 2.2 million square meters, Zhongshan Hot Spring is lush with greenery and blooming flowers year-round. The classical-style buildings and pavilions with strong Lingnan characteristics offer a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient imperial gardens. The meticulously crafted artificial structures harmonize beautifully with the natural scenery of Luosanmei Mountain, creating a picturesque setting where “gardens within gardens and scenes within scenes” unfold — a serene haven ideal for escaping urban bustle. It serves as a perfect destination for leisure, vacation, business meetings, and tourism in modern society.

“Xianmu Garden” Open-Air Hot Spring. There are nearly 40 types of unique hot spring pools, including “Milk Spring,” “Coffee Spring,” “Flower & Herb Spring,” and “Mineral Sand Bath.” The newly launched spa zone, medical therapy zone, and snowfall hot spring in 2004 highlight health and wellness.

Zhongshan Hot Spring Golf Course is located about 23 km south of Shiqi, Zhongshan City. It was invested in and built by prominent Hong Kong figures—including Mr. Cheng Yu-tung—and others. The Zhongshan Hot Spring Golf Club is China’s first golf club and also the first to feature a 36-hole championship-standard golf course. What makes the course truly unique is that it was meticulously designed by two world-renowned professional golfers: Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, making it a one-of-a-kind masterpiece in the world.

The Arnold Palmer Course of the Zhongshan Hot Spring Golf Club opened in 1984. The course features winding mountainous terrain and lush, well-manicured fairways, blending into a paradise-like landscape. The Arnold Palmer Course gained international attention for hosting China’s first major international golf tournament — the Dunhill Cup Pacific Finals. Following the opening of the Arnold Palmer Course, the Jack Nicklaus Course was inaugurated in November 1993. Known as a golfer’s paradise, the Jack Nicklaus Course boasts wide fairways, expansive bunkers, and fine-textured Bermuda grass. The distinct designs of both courses have significantly contributed to the fame of the Zhongshan Hot Spring Golf Club.
