Pei Xun Hall

Pei Xun Hall is located at No. 27 Nan Dajie, Zhuxiuyuan Community, South District, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. Built in 1932 and renovated in December 2000, it was constructed by the brothers Guo Le, Guo Quan, and Guo Shun, founders of the Wing On Company, in memory of their father, Guo Pei Xun. The hall faces south and features a three-story main structure designed in a British architectural style, with a reinforced concrete structure. It has a two-story clock tower on top. The building is 14.5 meters wide and 18.4 meters deep, covering a construction area of approximately 267 square meters and a total area of about 561 square meters. The exterior walls are light yellow, and the first-floor entrance features an arched glass lintel. Each floor’s front porch is supported by four Corinthian-style columns. In the center of the courtyard stands a 3.5-meter-diameter fountain, with a circular water-spouting tower that is 2.3 meters high. This building is a typical example of overseas Chinese architecture in the region and was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Zhongshan City in 2000.
