Buyue Bridge

Buyue Bridge is located in Hengmei Village, South District, and was built in the 33rd year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1843). The bridge is a single-arch stone structure, measuring 15.3 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width. Its deck is paved with seven bluestone slabs, and it features granite piers with a semi-circular silhouette. There are ten steps on both the northern and southern sides of the bridge, and the sides are inscribed with seal script reading “Buyue Bridge,” with the upper inscription “Daoguang Gui Mao” and the lower inscription “Erected in the first winter month □.” A gatehouse originally stood at the bridge’s entrance, though only remnants of its walls remain today.
