Yat-sen Lake Park is a cultural tourism attraction.

Yat-sen Lake Park is situated in the bustling central commercial area of Shiqi District, Zhongshan City. It lies east of Hubin Road and south of Yan Ding Mountain. The park was originally farmland and ponds. In 1959, it was dug out through voluntary work by local cadres and residents, thus earning the name "Artificial Lake Park." In 1988, the municipal government invested nearly 3 million yuan to renovate and upgrade the park. To commemorate the great revolutionary Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the "Artificial Lake Park" was renamed Yat-sen Lake Park.

The formation of Yat-sen Lake Park went through a developmental process. In the past, at the border of farmland between Yuangfeng Village and Dadun Village, there was once a small farm for cadres. During the Anti-Rightist Campaign in 1959, county and town cadres conducted political activities at night and did labor during the day. The higher authorities requisitioned 300 acres of land from Yuangfeng, where cadres were assigned to dig earth to depths of three to four meters under the guidance of construction supervisors. Due to the high presence of oyster shells in the deeper layers, which cut into hands and feet and slowed progress, workers from factories and enterprises in Shiqi as well as personnel from county-affiliated units in the area were also given tasks. After strenuous effort, they eventually dug out a 160-acre lake. Trees were planted along the banks, and some small bridges and pavilions near the lake were built. The site was called the Artificial Lake, managed under the Landscape Management Office. At that time, based on the 160-acre water surface, a fish production quota was assigned. Yao Yao served as the fish farming supervisor. The Artificial Lake also dealt in goldfish, saplings, potted plants, flower boards, plaques, bouquets, and wreaths. In the 1970s, the Lianyi Restaurant was added. Although it attracted some visitors, the place remained quiet and sparsely frequented.

In 1988, to honor the great Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the Artificial Lake was renamed Yat-sen Lake Park. With the addition of scenic spots and upgraded facilities, the park began to thrive, attracting nearly one million visitors each year.

Yat-sen Lake Park complements well with the Sun West Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan Park, and the scenic spots along both sides of the Qijiang River, making it a beautiful highlight of Zhongshan City.

The Zhongshan Comic Art Museum officially opened on January 16, 2013. It is located within Yat-sen Lake Park in Shiqi District, Zhongshan City, with a total building area of 4,375 square meters. The museum houses an Exhibition Hall of the Brief History of Chinese Comics, an Exhibition Hall of Cartoonists from Zhongshan, the Chen Yifan Comic Art Exhibition Hall, the Fang Cheng Comic Art Exhibition Hall, the Jiang Yousheng Comic Art Exhibition Hall, the Fang Tang Comic Art Exhibition Hall, a Temporary Exhibition Hall, and an Interactive Playground. The Zhongshan Comic Art Museum boasts a rich and high-quality collection, ranking among the top in its category.

In addition to traditional display methods, the Zhongshan Comic Art Museum also employs advanced technologies such as multimedia. Through 360-degree holographic projection, multimedia projection interactive experiences, and automatic mobile phone audio guide systems, it makes comic art more vivid and engaging, enriches the forms of presentation, and enhances the visual appeal of the exhibits.
