Zhuoqi Mountain Villa

Zhuoqi Mountain Villa is situated in Dayong Town, Zhongshan City — renowned as the hometown of Chinese rosewood carving. Authorized by the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and funded privately, it was built in 1999 as the first tourism-based natural attraction in the town to combine leisure, entertainment, vacation, sightseeing, and cultural experiences. In 2002, it was certified by the Zhongshan Municipal Tourism Bureau as an official tourism destination and executive council member of the Tourism Association, making it Zhongshan’s first privately-run tourist site equipped with a two-star hotel.

Zhuoqi Mountain Villa is the only mountain-and-water scenic area in southwestern Zhongshan. It boasts a unique geographical environment and abundant natural landscape resources. Built against the mountains, it is shaded by lush greenery, filled with the chirping of orioles and songbirds that nest here, while bees and butterflies gather among the blossoms — offering visitors a strong sense of returning to nature. Covering an area of 600 acres, the scenic zone includes a vacation center, a woodcarving workshop, a Herbal Valley medicinal herb garden, a mountain spring swimming pool, a Shunde farmstead, the Diecui Restaurant, a barbecue area, a club, an open-air bar, a fishing lake, Zhuoshan Overlook, a bird paradise, amusement and fitness facilities, Mingcui Residence, a ganoderma and mushroom cultivation field, a multifunctional conference center, and outdoor adventure activities.

Dayong Town: Commonly known as “Longdu,” Dayong Town is located in the southwestern part of Zhongshan City, approximately 8 kilometers from Shiqi urban area. It covers an area of 39.52 square kilometers and governs five community resident committees and two village committees. The registered population is 29,300, with a non-registered population of 43,400 and over 30,000 overseas compatriots. In December 2006, by firmly establishing and implementing the Scientific Outlook on Development, Dayong Town vigorously promoted the construction of a harmonious society. The local economy sustained rapid and healthy growth, people’s living standards continued to rise, and all social undertakings saw comprehensive progress.
