Gaosha People's Auditorium

Built in 1962, Gaosha People's Auditorium is the only remaining site of Gaosha as a revolutionary base during the Liberation War. In 2007, it was renovated through multi-party fundraising; in 2008, it was honored with the titles of “Moral Education Base for Primary and Secondary Schools in Dongsheng Town, Zhongshan City” and “Youth Legal Education Base in Dongsheng Town, Zhongshan City”; in January 2012, the Gaosha Auditorium was listed as an “Immovable Cultural Relic of Zhongshan City”; starting from June 2012, a children’s activity room was added to the Gaosha Auditorium, featuring a children’s play area, reading area, green internet zone, and more. It was also officially designated as a self-cultivation school, with over 10,000 yuan invested to restore and renovate cultural relics in the farming exhibition area of the auditorium and install protective covers for the relics.

Dongsheng Town: Dongsheng Town is the youngest established town in Zhongshan City. It was separated from Xiaolan District in 1986 and initially named Jilong Town, then renamed Dongsheng Town the following year; in 1999, Tanbei Town was merged into it, forming the current territory of Dongsheng. The town governs 8 community residents' committees and 6 villagers' committees, covering a total area of 75.82 square kilometers, with a registered population of 74,000 and a migrant population of about 100,000.
