Cuiheng Ancient Village

Cuiheng Village is located in Nanlang Town, South Section of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. Originally named Caikeng Village, it was later renamed Cuiheng Village due to the lush greenery of the nearby mountains and forests. It is the hometown of Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of China's democratic revolution (born here in 1866).

Cuiheng Village is under the jurisdiction of Nanlang Town, Zhongshan City, located in the southeastern part of the city, and also in the southeastern area of Nanlang Town. It faces Lingdingyang of the Pearl River Estuary to the east, across from Qi'ao Island in Zhuhai City, borders Jinding Town of Zhuhai City to the south, leans against Wuguishan Mountain to the west, and is adjacent to Yakou Village to the northeast. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway runs east of the village. The Zhonggong Highway runs through the village. Cuishan Road connects the Zhonggong Highway to the east and Chenggui Highway to the west, passing by the Yixian Reservoir. It is a key land and water transportation hub in the southeastern part of Zhongshan City.

To the west of Cuiheng Village lies the undulating Wuguishan Mountain Range, and to the east is the Pearl River. Attractions include the Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen, the Exhibition Hall, the Park, Cuiheng Hotel, and Zhongshan Memorial Middle School. The Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen is a two-story ochre brick building that combines Chinese and Western architectural styles, personally designed by Sun Yat-sen, and constructed in two phases in 1885 and 1892. A park was established in front of the residence in 1956. In 1966, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth, an auxiliary exhibition hall was built next to the residence. The name of the hall was inscribed by Soong Ching-ling herself, and it attracts large numbers of domestic and international tourists every year.

In June 2007, Cuiheng Village in Nanlang Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, was selected as one of the third batch of Famous Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages in China.
