Attraction Introduction

Jinzhong Reservoir in Zhongshan is located in Xin’an Village, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, with a water surface area of up to 35 hectares and excellent water quality. The reservoir is situated in the suburbs of Shiqi, Zhongshan City, within Xin’an Village, covering a total area of 120 hectares, of which the reservoir itself spans 35 hectares. The shoreline of Jinzhong Reservoir is naturally winding and diverse, featuring high-quality water. The large wetland and marsh areas to the southeast of the reservoir, along with the undulating slopes and rich ecological environment, as well as various aquatic plants, provide habitats, food sources, and breeding grounds for waterfowl. The balanced slope of the mountains, the graceful forms of the vegetation along the shore, and the dense, layered plant cover mainly consist of native tree species characteristic of Zhongshan. The diversity of wetland species contributes to a rich layering of vegetation, creating a natural and pristine landscape. The dominant tall trees are secondary Masson pine, supplemented by species such as Acacia confusa, Michelia alba, Michelia champaca, and Ormosia pinnata; the ground cover is primarily ferns; and the most common type of bamboo is Bambusa chungii.
