Attraction Introduction

The Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum (Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum) is China’s first thematic museum dedicated to commercial culture. It is a branch of the Zhongshan Museum. The museum is located in the former site of the Shiqi Town General Chamber of Commerce from the 1940s, at No. 152, Sunwen West Road Cultural Tourism Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan City. Officially approved on December 15, 2003, the project took several years from collecting and preparing exhibits to constructing the museum building. It was completed and opened to the public on January 17, 2006, serving as a fully modern, comprehensive thematic museum integrating visiting, leisure, tourism, and commemoration. In December 2007, the Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum was selected by the Guangdong Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture, and the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau as one of the province’s first “Chinese Culture Heritage Bases.”
