The Ancestral Hall of the Feng Clan is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhongshan City.

The Ancestral Hall of the Feng Clan is located in the eastern part of Cuiheng Village and was where Sun Yat-sen studied as a child. Built in the early Qing Dynasty, it faces east and covers an area of 118 square meters, featuring a brick-and-wood structure. It serves as the ancestral temple for the Feng family in Cuiheng Village. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was used as a village school, primarily enrolling children from farming families to study the Four Books and Five Classics and receive elementary education. From the first to the fourth year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1875–1878), Sun Yat-sen studied here and questioned the teaching method of the tutor, who only required students to memorize texts without providing explanations. During this time, Sun Yat-sen became good friends with classmates such as Lu Haodong. The Ancestral Hall of the Feng Clan was designated as a municipal cultural relic protection unit by the municipal government, and the Sun Yat-sen’s Former Residence Memorial Museum has carried out multiple protective renovations of the hall. The Ancestral Hall features a flush-gable roof with a mixed brick-and-wood through-tenon and raised-beam structure, where the raised beams are shaped like melon-pillar through-tenons. It has a two-courtyard, four-room layout with a kitchen, and a front courtyard is situated before the second courtyard.

On November 29, 2000, the municipal government designated the Ancestral Hall of the Feng Clan as a municipal cultural relic protection unit.

Cuiheng Village: Cuiheng Village is under the jurisdiction of Nanlang Town, Zhongshan City. It is located in the southeastern part of Zhongshan City and also in the southeastern part of Nanlang Town. To the east, it faces the Lingdingyang waters of the Pearl River Estuary, across from Qi’ao Island in Zhuhai City; to the south, it connects with Jinding Town in Zhuhai City; to the west, it borders Mount Wuguishan; and to the northeast, it neighbors Yakou Village. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway runs east of the village. The Zhonggong Highway runs through the village. Cui Shan Road connects the Zhonggong Highway to the east and Chenggui Highway to the west, passing by the edge of the Yixian Reservoir. It is a key land and water transportation hub in the southeastern part of Zhongshan City.
