Chadong Qing Dynasty Park

Located at the entrance of Chadong Village in Lanbian, “Chadong Park” is one of the best-preserved Qing Dynasty parks in the Nanlang area and is a historic site of high cultural heritage value.

Chadong Park was first built in the early Qing Dynasty. Utilizing the natural surroundings, a stone slab bridge was constructed, featuring a traditional bridge architectural structure. The bridge piers have an outward splayed design, and the bridge deck is paved with rectangular granite slabs, making it quite distinctive. When the park was initially built, a “Temple of Emperor Wu” was erected on an earthen mound in the lake, but it was later demolished. During the ninth year of the Xianfeng reign in the Qing Dynasty (1859), when the park was renovated, a worship pavilion was added in front of the original “Temple of Emperor Wu.” This worship pavilion features four pillars, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, and a spire tower top with a “dragon boat ridge.” The four pillars and beams are made of granite, decorated with carved cloud-pattern brackets, and the roof ridge is styled as a “dragon boat ridge.” Inscribed on the pillars of the worship pavilion is a stone couplet: “Assisted the Han to establish its tripartite division of power; Heart united with the teachings of Nishan in a fragrant offering.” This couplet reflects the sentiments of the Chen clan of Chadong in tracing their ancestral roots and also serves as evidence that the ancestors of the Chen clan of Chadong migrated from the Han people of the Central Plains in the Yellow River basin.

Lanbian Village: Lanbian Village is located in the northern part of Nanlang Town, bordering Haichong Village to the east, Dache Village to the west, Nanlang Village to the south, and Xiaoyin and Li Village of the Torch Development Zone to the north.

The total area of the village is 9.98 square kilometers. In 2005, the cultivated land area was 2,760 mu, including 1,650 mu of rice paddies, 383 mu of vegetables, 552 mu of flowers, and 175 mu of other crops. Additionally, there were 7,200 mu of mountainous land. In 2005, the village had 974 registered households, including 919 agricultural households and 55 non-agricultural households.
