Located on Wenchang Palace Side, Beizhou Street, Longrui Village, Shaxi Town, the area houses several specialty congee shops such as Yeanye Congee Shop, Xiri Congee Shop, and Riri Congee Shop. Signature dishes include: traditional pork bone congee, bamboo chicken coconut congee, salted beef, stir-fried fresh squid with ginger and scallions, pepper salted cuttlefish, and homemade pastries.

Longrui Village: Introduction to Longrui Village

Longrui Village in Shaxi Town, Zhongshan City, is situated in the northeastern part of Shaxi Town, bordering Xiqu District of Zhongshan City. It has a permanent agricultural population of 3,375 people and a total of 883 agricultural households. Originally part of Xijiao Township, Longrui Village was established around the late Southern Song Dynasty. Liu Ruxian, the second son of Liu Shaoxiong, the prefect of Nanxiong, migrated from Zhujixiang to Tugualing in Dongzhen, Xiangshan. By the late Southern Song Dynasty, his sixth-generation descendants, brothers Liu Zizhong and Liu Ziping, settled here, and the village has now seen 30 generations. Initially, due to a reef near the seaside corner of the village that resembled a rooster when carved at the top, the village was first named Shengji Jiao (Rooster Corner).
