Yuquan Cave, also known as the Immortal Temple, is located at Kuilougang in Shiling Village. It is the largest sea erosion cave in the sea erosion site, measuring 15 meters wide, 8 meters deep, and over 5 meters high. The cave walls curve inward in an arc, and the cave entrance is inscribed with the three characters “Yuquan Cave.” In the 20th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1894), it was expanded into a temple dedicated to Lü Dongbin. Next to the immortal temple is a 53-meter-long, 3.3-meter-wide cliffside stone carving inscribed with the words “Dripping Water Rock,” located about 10 meters above the ground. This artwork is a running script engraving in intaglio by Ye Songsu from Bao’an County during the Qing Dynasty. The immortal temple was renovated in 1984 and remains well-preserved today.

The Immortal Temple, also called the “Temple of Lüzu the Immortal,” was built within a massive rock cave in Aoshan Village. Legend has it that Lü Dongbin once traveled through this area and stayed overnight in the cave. In the 20th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1894), villagers constructed a temple here to enshrine a statue of Lü Dongbin. The rock cave bears the inscription “Yuquan Cave,” and the temple’s north and south gates each feature a pair of couplets that many scholars and poets have found difficult to interpret. These couplets roughly convey that the cliffs, caves, and scenery around the immortal temple are extraordinarily unique, with breathtaking natural beauty. Curious visitors have traveled great distances to see it for themselves, and the number of worshippers has grown steadily, all hoping for divine guidance from Lüzu.
