The “Pearl of Shatian” tourist attraction is located in Laijiukeng, Xinlun Village, Minzhong Town, Zhongshan City. It boasts well-preserved natural ecological surroundings and features some of the most beautiful landscapes and finest ecological environments remaining in the Pearl River Delta region. This makes it an ideal site for developing agro-tourism and water town leisure destinations. The area has numerous waterways, convenient transportation, tree-lined riverbanks, and distinct Lingnan water town characteristics.

The total development area of the project is 915 mu, invested and constructed by Macao Qinglv Group Co., Ltd., with a planned investment of 86 million yuan. The project is divided into three phases. The first phase includes the construction of a visitor service center, parking lot, cruise terminal, central square, waterside shopping market, leisure farmland viewing area, and farmhouse restaurant. The second and third phases plan to develop a concentrated farmland protection zone, the largest freshwater entertainment venue, wetland park, specialty farmhouse library, riverside eco-accommodation area, and themed hotels. Currently, the first phase has been largely completed and was opened for trial operation in July 2011.

Xinlun Village: Xinlun Village was established during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period. Its name is derived from the characters “Xin” (新) and “Lun” (伦) taken from the names of two local Shatian alluvial polders: Xinzhengsha Polder and Huanglunchi Polder. It is bordered by Pingsi Yongkou to the east, Minzhong Yong to the south, Sandun Yongkou to the west, and Laijiukeng Yong to the north, covering an area of 6.73 square kilometers.
