Tsang Pin Tin Hau Temple

Tsang Pin Tin Hau Temple is located on Huali Street, Caobian, Beitai Community, South District, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the ninth year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1883) and underwent renovations in 1986 and 1999. The structure faces southeast and is situated northwest, featuring a three-bay, two-courtyard layout with a light well between the two courtyards. It is approximately 11.3 meters wide and 18 meters deep, covering a total area of about 204 square meters. The walls are made of blue bricks, with a gable and hip roof, a decorated ridge, plain tiles, green-glazed tile ends, and dripping tiles. The front section features wooden carved eaves boards, and the door lintel is inscribed with the regular-script characters “Tin Hau Temple” (Tin Hau being the Goddess of the Sea). It has a mixed beam frame of raised beams and through-tenon construction. The rear section uses a gable and purlin structure. This building reflects the architectural style of altars and temples from the Qing Dynasty in Zhongshan and holds certain cultural value.
