Guhai Village in Sanshui Town, Zhongshan City, is a cultural ancient village with a history of nearly 800 years. Legend has it that in ancient times, many birds nested in the forests of Guhai Village, among which white cranes were the most numerous, hence the name "Guhai" (Ancient Crane). Today, Guhai Village is a natural village where the old and the new, tradition and modernity, blend seamlessly. It covers an area of 5.6 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of over a thousand and more than 2,000 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao, making it one of Zhongshan City's hometowns of overseas Chinese.

The long-history Guhai Village boasts a rich cultural atmosphere. As early as the Qing Dynasty, there were four stone-paved streets, totaling approximately 1,800 meters in length, long and simple, showcasing the charm of over 800 years. In addition, the village has three ancient ancestral halls that are nearly 170 years old. Among them, the Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall embodies the principle of fostering kinship and harmony, witnessing the inclusive and harmonious spirit of Guhai Village throughout its history.

Guhai Village has nearly 6,000 acres of mountainous land and has traditionally placed great emphasis on the protection of the natural environment. To this day, it still retains ancient woodlands and century-old trees, including several precious hundred-year-old agarwood trees, as well as other rare species such as wild lychee trees and nanmu. There is also a reservoir covering nearly 400 acres in the village, with rippling blue waters surrounded by lush woods, offering a beautiful environment and fresh air. Besides supplying water to the village, it also serves as a scenic leisure area. Leveraging the deep historical and cultural atmosphere of Guhai Village, three large-scale vintage furniture markets—Huacai, Guhai, and Mingqing—have spontaneously emerged in the village, housing over 500 antique shops, all displaying and trading valuable antiques and furniture. It has now become a nationally renowned vintage furniture market.
