The Zhuhai Fisher Girl Scenic Area includes: the Zhuhai Fisher Girl Statue, Xianglu Bay, and Shijing Mountain Scenic Area.

The Zhuhai Fisher Girl statue stands elegantly on the picturesque shores of Xianglu Bay in downtown Zhuhai. With a graceful posture and charming demeanor, she wears a beaded necklace around her neck, a fishing net tied around her waist, her trouser legs rolled up slightly, and raises a dazzling pearl high above her head with both hands, as if heralding light and offering treasures.

This stone sculpture is 8.7 meters tall and weighs 10 tons. It was assembled from 70 pieces of granite and is the first large-scale coastal statue in China. It is the masterpiece of the renowned Chinese sculptor Pan He.

Xianglu Bay is a crescent-shaped bay, named after fishermen in the past who would land here to visit the Xianglu Cave on Shijing Mountain for worship. Here, the blue sea meets the silver beach, green woods line the shore like ribbons, seagulls chase the waves, and sails glide across the water — a picture-perfect scene. A hill called Chuan Di Shan extends into the sea, dividing Xianglu Bay into two graceful little bays that resemble water caltrops, hence their nickname “Lingjiao Zui” (Water Caltrop Mouth). The 15-kilometer-long Lovers’ Road built along Xianglu Bay adds a modern and romantic touch to Zhuhai. When night falls and the lights go on, the sea sparkles with fishing boats and shimmering waves, creating a captivating nighttime scene. This seaside Lovers’ Road has become a popular spot for leisure and entertainment.

Shijing Mountain is famous for its peculiar and varied rock formations. Originally named “Xiniu Wangyue Shan” (Rhino Looking at the Moon Mountain), it got its name because there is a huge rock on the mountain peak that resembles the horn, nose, and mouth of a rhinoceros, while the overall shape of the mountain looks like the body of a rhino. From a distance, it looks like a rhino gazing up at the moon. Later, due to the undulating and well-arranged bizarre rocks on the mountain, where the beginning scenes look like galloping horses kicking up dust and the ending scenes resemble numerous streams flowing into the sea, and upon closer appreciation, it seems like a naturally formed painting of a hundred beasts, it was renamed Shijing Mountain (Stone Scenery Mountain). The famous Chinese painter Liu Haisu once wrote a poem praising the mountain during his visit: “The quiet morning glow at Shijing Mountain’s edge, I sit in the green hues before Xianglu Bay. Peculiar rocks pile up sharply, strange peaks amaze beyond each peak.” From the mountaintop, you can overlook the boundless sea, scattered islands, beautiful bays, and the bustling city. This scenic area is the most distinctive and enchanting attraction of Zhuhai, the garden-style coastal city.
