Lovers' Road & Zhuhai Fisher Girl

Lovers' Road runs along the coastal area of eastern Zhuhai, stretching about 28 kilometers and embracing five bays including Tangjiawan, Xiangzhou Bay, Xianglu Bay, and Gongbei Bay. The wide road is interspersed with beautiful flower beds and green spaces, offering stunning scenery and a romantic atmosphere. It was honored as one of the “Top Ten Scenic Spots in the Pearl River Delta” in 2011.

The Zhuhai Fisher Girl, located by Xianglu Bay, is comparable to the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, Denmark, and serves as a city landmark of Zhuhai. The statue depicts the Fisher Girl wearing a pearl necklace, draped in fishing nets, with her pant legs slightly rolled up, holding a radiant pearl high above her head. With an expression of joy and shyness, she symbolizes the light of the world. Standing 8.7 meters tall and weighing 10 tons, the sculpture is made from 70 pieces of granite and is the masterpiece of renowned Chinese sculptor Pan He. It has become a tourism icon of Zhuhai.
