Youmingxuan Teahouse (Beijing Hongyizheng Tea Culture Communication Center) was established in September 2002. The teahouse is located in the city center, adjacent to Qianmen Commercial Street to the east, renowned Liulichang Cultural Street to the north, and Xianong Altar to the south. It stands on the former site of the Ta Kung Pao newspaper at Yong’an Road. This seemingly coincidental location reflects an inevitable cultural flavor. The mission of our center is to inherit and promote the splendid tea culture of our Chinese ancestors. This teahouse serves as a gathering place for cultured individuals and a cultural salon for the people.

The tea sales center offers a selection of premium black, green, and floral teas from across the country, along with a variety of health and beauty flower drinks... There are also exquisite Yixing teaware pieces for you to enjoy your shopping and pick out items that suit your taste.

The “Youmingxuan” Teahouse covers an area of over 200 square meters, with an overall décor in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties—classic, elegant, and tranquil. In addition to the main hall with scattered seating, there are four private rooms, each with a unique size and style. The main hall features a Qing Dynasty style, while other rooms include Ming-style, Japanese-style, and European-themed private rooms in various sizes for quiet reading, tea tasting and discussion, or playing chess and board games in the game room. These options cater to the diverse needs of cultured individuals. The teahouse provides free broadband internet service for business professionals and guests from all walks of life, and guests can also enjoy richly traditional tea art performances.
