The ruins of the Taiye Pool in the Central Capital of the Jin Dynasty are a protected cultural heritage site of Beijing.
The ruins of the Taiye Pool in the Central Capital of the Jin Dynasty are located at No. 77 Guangwai South Street and are a protected cultural heritage site of Beijing.
These are the remains of the imperial garden Yuzaopool in the Central Capital of the Jin Dynasty. Yuzaopool was an imperial garden located on the western side of the Jin palace city, and was originally the Yaochi (Jade Pool) of the Liao Dynasty’s Nanjing palace city. The pool once featured an island with structures such as the Yaochi Hall. Constructed in the first year of the Zhenyuan era of the Jin Dynasty (1153 AD), it was destroyed during the wars at the end of the Jin Dynasty. The site serves as important physical evidence for studying the layout of the Jin Dynasty's Central Capital. Today, the island is connected to the shore, and only about one-quarter of the water surface remains.
