Cibei An at Taoran Pavilion
Cibei An at Taoran Pavilion is a municipal cultural heritage site and a classic red tourism destination.
Cibei An at Taoran Pavilion is located within Taoran Park in Beijing and is a cultural heritage site protected by the municipal government.
Cibei An was first built in the Yuan Dynasty and continued to be used in the Ming Dynasty. It is situated on the southwestern terrace of the central island in Taoran Park, with its entrance facing east. The site contains one stone pagoda from the Liao Dynasty and one from the Jin Dynasty. It was renovated during the Kangxi and Guangxu reigns of the Qing Dynasty, and underwent major restoration in the 1980s, but its overall layout has remained largely unchanged. The entire courtyard complex features an irregular yet charming exterior, while the inner courtyard is tranquil. Historical figures such as Kang Youwei, Liang Qichao, Tan Sitong, Li Dazhao, Mao Zedong, and others have all left their footprints here.
