is the only museum in China that systematically popularizes knowledge of geology, paleontology, and evolution through animal fossils. It was established by the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The central section, the "Fossil Exhibition Hall," displays over 600 exquisite fossil specimens, all carefully selected from more than 200,000 specimens collected over the past fifty years by four generations of Chinese scientists in the fields of vertebrate paleontology and paleoanthropology.

The exhibition halls of the China Ancient Animal Museum are spread across three floors: the first floor features ancient fish and amphibians, the second floor showcases ancient reptiles and birds, and the third floor is dedicated to ancient mammals. In the atrium connecting the first and second floors, several dinosaur skeleton fossils are displayed, enriching the content while avoiding a crowded feel. The China Ancient Animal Museum is currently the largest ancient animal museum in Asia and also one of the larger ancient animal museums in the world.
