In Xinlong Village, Yanzhou Town, there stands an ancient camphor tree over a hundred years old. It has seven branches growing closely together—some as thick as needing four people to encircle them, others about the girth of one person. From a distance, they resemble seven graceful and virtuous young ladies, hence the name "Seven Sisters" (Seven Sisters Camphor Tree). A local legend says that if someone sees a lady combing her hair on the tree, it signifies good fortune for that person, who will surely rise to high positions. Though the story’s origins are unverifiable, it’s remarkable that over 50 college graduates have emerged from the roughly 200 residents of Wan Chang alone.
