Zhiseng Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zhiseng Temple is located in Yanhu Town, Changning City, Hengyang, and is a renowned temple in southern Hunan. Covering an area of over 1,000 acres, it was first built in the third year of the Shunzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1646), with a history of about 400 years. In 1975, the original site was submerged due to the construction of a reservoir. In the 1980s, monks and devotees rebuilt the temple complex near the original location. Zhiseng Temple now features structures such as the Mahavira Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Ksitigarbha Hall. It boasts a grand scale and magnificent architecture, and is known as the "Blessed Land of Yishan." There is a legend about the monk Jingne, also known as the Patriarch of Joy, who "planted cypress trees upside down." The area enjoys serene and beautiful scenery, including the rugged beauty of Five Sons Peak, the tranquility of Sacred Bamboo Grove, the elegance of Five Dragons Lake, as well as unique landscapes such as Scripture-Drying Stone, Gold-Measuring Vessel, and Heaven’s Crack, all of which are captivating.

Yanhu Town is located east of Changning City, with its seat about 12 kilometers from the city center. It borders Yintian and Xiling Towns to the east, Sanjiaotang Town to the south, Yitan Township to the west, and Pengtang Township to the north.
