South Heaven Gate Ancestral Hall of Mount Heng (Nanyue)
The Ancestral Hall is located on Beidou Ridge (also known as South Heaven Gate) of Mount Heng in Nanyue. It is primarily dedicated to Xuanwu, the Northern Deity of Taoism. The original construction date is unknown, but the existing structure features stone walls and iron roofing. Reconstructed in 1998 by the Nanyue Taoist Association, the hall complex consists of two courtyards and three wings, covering a floor area of over 1,200 square meters. It comprises the Zhenwu Hall, Shouxing Hall, Caishen Hall, Cihang Hall, and others, and is currently presided over by Taoist Master Zeng Mingqing, Vice President of the Nanyue Taoist Association.
