Wuhan Garden Expo Park is bordered by Jinshan Avenue to the north, Jinnan 1st Road to the east, and Gutian 2nd Road and Gutian 4th Road to the west. It was the venue for the 10th China International Garden Expo (referred to as the Garden Expo). After the successful hosting of the 10th Garden Expo, Wuhan Garden Expo Park was retained permanently as a city park. Residents can easily enjoy the beauty of gardens from all over the country without leaving Wuhan, making it a great place to relax and unwind.

The Garden Expo Park is divided into two major areas: the North Area located in Dongxihu District and the South Area in Qiaokou District, covering a total area of 213.77 hectares, equivalent to eight Zhongshan Parks. It takes at least half a day to a full day to explore the entire park. If you're short on time, it's recommended to plan your route in advance and pick the exhibition areas that interest you most.

Hankou Li: Reconstructed Wuhan’s most intact old street, taste authentic local food

Located at the east entrance service area of the Garden Expo Park, Hankou Li authentically reconstructs the architectural complexes of Hankou from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period, immersing you as if you were strolling through the streets of old Hankou. It houses many long-established Wuhan shops and traditional snack stores, making it the top dining choice in the Garden Expo Park.

Yangtze River Civilization Museum: Experience high-end 4D interactive “Yangtze River Journey”

The 4D experience area of the Yangtze River Civilization Museum is masterminded by world-class special effects experts and the visual director of Avatar. Here, you can become an explorer, riding a track vehicle from the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, passing through snow-capped plateaus, the Sanxingdui site, the Battle of Red Cliffs, the Three Gorges, China’s scenic wonders, and celebrating the future, all to feel the majestic flow of the Yangtze River across half of China.

International Garden Art Center: Admire the most classic garden art

The International Garden Art Center is located on the west side of the main (north) entrance of the Garden Expo Park. If you enter from the north gate, it’s the first thing you’ll see. Its highlight is the immersive real-scene "time-travel" design. As you stroll through, you can enjoy experiences such as walking along corridors, stages, viewing pavilions, and observing towers, immersively experiencing the beauty of representative Chinese gardens like the Old Summer Palace, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Yellow Crane Tower, and Yuelu Academy.

In addition, while wandering the park, you’ll also see reconstructed landmarks such as Taiyuan’s “Chicken Claw Archway,” a miniature version of Chengdu’s Guihu Park, Yinchuan’s Feilong Pass, and Hangzhou’s Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. In the northern part of the park, there are also foreign pavilions full of exotic charm, including the French Garden, New Zealand Garden, Korean Garden, Brazilian Garden, and Dutch Garden, allowing you to experience the beauty of world gardens without traveling far.
