Wen De Fried Chicken is located in the dusk market at Lane 66, Wen De Road, Neihu District. Old K often shops here at this dusk market! He’s seen this fried chicken stall before but never bought from it because he’s not that into fried food at night. But after Foodie Paradise featured it recently, it seemed really delicious! However, the weather has been so hot! So he kept putting it off until now XD
Wen De Fried Chicken is located at the far end of the dusk market. It’s actually not hard to find because the business is brisk with people constantly coming to buy, and it’s the only fried chicken stall in this dusk market.

The boss fries the chicken inside, and once it’s done, it’s brought out to the front stall where the boss’s wife sells it.

Fried chicken leg, fried chicken butt, fried squid balls, fried hot dog

Fried chicken wings, fried chicken cutlet

There are also french fries and sweet potato fries — count them up, there are eight varieties in total! Let’s try a few first. Saw someone get sweet potato with plum powder on it — must be tasty!

You can choose whether to have the chicken cutlet sliced — slicing makes it easier to eat.

Three minutes later, back home for plating XD Old K bought one chicken leg for 40 NT$, one skewer of squid balls for 20 NT$, one chicken cutlet for 45 NT$, and three chicken wings for 50 NT$ (seven wings for 100 NT$)

Let’s start with this chicken leg! The pepper salt sprinkled on top smells amazing! Their coating isn’t too thick, the skin is crispy, and paired with the pepper salt... just thinking about it makes my mouth water!

The chicken leg meat is tender and juicy yet still retains its bounce — Taiwanese-style fried chicken can definitely have its own unique deliciousness!

The chicken cutlet here isn’t pounded thin, so the chicken breast is super thick! Lots of meat but not dry at all! Also quite tasty.

These chicken wings are truly the signature! Crispy skin paired with super tender chicken — juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious! Old K left one to cool down before eating, and it was still great! No wonder Foodie Paradise raved about it!!! You’ve gotta get this one XD

Lastly, the squid balls also performed well — chewy and bouncy, and you can even taste little bits of squid.

Two days later, Old K came back again. This time he bought the sweet potato fries, french fries, and hot dog he missed last time, plus some chicken wings and fried chicken cutlet.

Hot dog (20 NT$)
The hot dog is deep-fried again, so it looks much darker than the ones on the stall. Because it’s fried twice, the outer layer has a slightly crispy and hard texture. Old K feels the skin is a bit thick — this one’s pretty average. Unless kids love hot dogs, you might skip this one XD

Fried sweet potato (20 NT$), fried potato fries (20 NT$)
Both types of fries can be bought for either 20 NT$ or 30 NT$. Old K got 20 NT$ worth of each. For the 20 NT$ portion, it’s pretty good value.

The red stuff on the sweet potato is plum powder — so this is the sweet plum sweet potato fries! The sweet potato itself is soft and quite sweet, paired with the salty-sour plum powder, it gives that candied fruit vibe! Salty, sour, sweet — so good! Tastes better than the sweet potato fries from the local chain Ding XX, and it’s cheaper with bigger portions too!

The fries turned out well too. They’re sprinkled with pepper, so they taste different from regular fries. For just twenty NT$ each, you can enjoy two different kinds of tasty fries — really great!
Old K’s little tip: Who would’ve thought Old K had been missing out on such delicious fried chicken wings all this time XD But better late than never — it’s super close to him, so he can just pop by anytime he wants! Friends who love chicken wings definitely mustn’t miss this! When buying, don’t hold back — Old K saw others buying two or three hundred NT$ worth of wings XD Aside from the hot dog being a bit weaker, everything else is delicious! Just come and get some!
