The Wuhan Yangtze River Crossing Museum is located within Hankou Riverside Park, directly opposite the Riverside Flood Control Monument. Designed in the Soviet architectural style, the museum has a total floor area of 4,975 square meters, stands 42 meters tall, and consists of seven floors. The exhibition halls include a foyer, main exhibition hall, experience zone, viewing area, and more, with exhibits divided into three sections: “Braving the Currents,” “Emotions Tied to the Yangtze,” and “Riding the River Waves.”

Architecturally designed in the Soviet style, the museum covers a total floor area of 4,975 square meters and stands 42 meters tall with seven floors. Floors four and above feature a setback design, creating three levels of 360-degree panoramic river-viewing platforms, allowing visitors to overlook both banks of the Yangtze River and enjoy views of the riverside scenery. The entire building’s ground floor is fully elevated, ensuring no interference with flood control and water discharge. The exterior façade of the Yangtze River Crossing Museum is adorned with a five-bay colonnade, and its three-tiered tower rises prominently, echoing the style of the Flood Control Monument and the historic buildings along Yanjiang Avenue, together forming the core landscape of the Yangtze River Crossing Cultural Park.

The exhibition halls consist of a foyer, main exhibition hall, experience zone, viewing area, and more, with exhibits divided into three sections: “Braving the Currents,” “Emotions Tied to the Yangtze,” and “Riding the River Waves.” Through historical materials such as images, photographs, videos, and artifacts, combined with realistic oil paintings and sculptures, the museum recreates the history of Mao Zedong’s multiple crossings of the Yangtze River, showcases the grandeur of Wuhan’s mass river-crossing events throughout the years, and highlights the long-standing local tradition and culture of river crossing.
