Fish Viewing Platform

The Fish Viewing Platform is located in the lake on the eastern slope of Huling, north of the Qu Yuan Memorial Hall at East Lake. It is named for its stocked ornamental fish and as a scenic spot for visitors. It is one of the major attractions of East Lake. The platform features six pavilion-style structures, all topped with glazed tiles, adorned with bright red pillars, and featuring upturned eaves and flying corners, making them exquisitely beautiful.

The steps, railings, corridors, pools, and various other features are either elegant, expansive, or classic in style, all quite pleasing to the eye. The architectural complex is connected by a winding, zigzagging circular bridge, forming an organic whole. The design is innovative, the layout orderly, and the structure ingenious, resembling a huge colorful scroll unfurled over the blue waves, with its reflection dancing in the emerald ripples, full of vitality.
