Bye-Bye Chiu Chiu and I’m Too Cool for You Restaurant Opens – Adorably Designed Cakes You Can’t Bear to Eat

Illustrator Bye-Bye Chiu Chiu has teamed up with Japan’s popular sticker character I’m Too Cool for You for a cross-brand collaboration, while also partnering with Nood Food Concept Dining to launch a limited-time themed pop-up restaurant. Located at Nood Café Wuchang Branch, the restaurant officially opened on July 20. Currently, only on-site queuing is available, but the restaurant uses a number-drawing system so customers don’t have to wait on the spot—notifications will be sent via SMS. The themed menu at the Bye-Bye Chiu Chiu and I’m Too Cool for You pop-up includes salads, fried items, burgers, pasta, and rice dishes—all designed based on the characters’ expressions, color schemes, appearances, and fictional worlds, resulting in uniquely themed dishes. Examples include the Angry Chicken Burger and the I’m Too Cool Burger, which may look half-hearted but are oddly comforting.

Another highlight is the super cute character-shaped cakes. The adorable I’m Too Cool for You and Blunt Girl character cakes are almost too cute to eat, while the Pointy Head character cake is sure to bring a smile. However, these special cakes are only available during specific time periods: I’m Too Cool for You from July 20–August 10, Angry Chicken from August 11–August 31, Hideyoshi from September 1–September 20, Pointy Head from September 21–October 10, and Blunt Girl from October 11–October 31.

In addition to food, the Bye-Bye Chiu Chiu and I’m Too Cool for You pop-up also sells exclusive merchandise. Items such as fabric postcards, folders, and lollipops are limited-edition and only available here.
