Chuhe-Han Street is located on Gongzheng Road in Wuchang, situated between East Lake and Shahu Lake. This is a commercial pedestrian street filled with the charm of the Republican era, featuring red-and-gray exposed brick walls, delicate brick moldings, black-painted doors, brass door knockers, Shikumen-style facades, bluestone pathways, and old wooden painted windows. Being here feels like stepping back in time.

As a waterfront pedestrian street, the Chuhe River runs through it. You can take a sightseeing boat from the dock in the middle section of Han Street to enjoy the scenic views along both banks of the river city, with even better views at night.

In the middle section of Han Street, you’ll also find a particularly iconic grand theater. The classic Chinese-style stage exudes dignity with a touch of elegance, and live performances are sometimes held here. The Madame Tussauds wax museum in Wuhan is also located here, making it a must-visit for fans wanting to take “close-up photos” with celebrities.

There are plenty of shopping and dining options on Han Street. The most famous is Wanda Plaza on Han Street, which houses a large number of international luxury brands. In addition, fast fashion brands from around the world such as ZARA, H&M, UNIQLO, and C&A have also set up specialty stores here. For food, there’s the most expensive Belgian Godiva chocolate in the river city, the always crowded Grandma’s Home, Tsui Wah, Four Seasons Love, Xiuyu, Huang Jihuang, and more.
