Located about 1 kilometer southeast of Zhuyang Village, Shiqiao Town, Xiangyang County, this is a Han Dynasty site, covering an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. At the northwest corner, exposed relics such as brick drainage systems and pottery wells have been found. Artifacts collected at the site include stone axes, grinding tools, bronze arrowheads, crossbow mechanisms, a “Long Yi Zi Sun” (Long Life to Descendants) mirror, “Wu Zhu” coins, “Da Quan Wu Shi” coins, and pottery fragments. The pottery fragments are predominantly gray clay pottery, with a small amount of red clay pottery. Decorative patterns include rope patterns, fluted patterns, and checkered patterns. The vessel forms include pots, jars, basins, urns, as well as roof tiles, tubular tiles, and tile ends. According to the Qing Dynasty’s Xiangyang County Annals, Chaoyang City “is now five li south of Heilongji, commonly misnamed as Chao Wang Cheng (City of the Court), … It lies eighty li north of Dengzhou and eighty li south of the county seat. The Han Dynasty established Chaoyang County, using this place as its administrative center.” (Third Batch)

Shiqiao Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Fancheng District, Xiangfan City. In 1987, Yujia Gang Township was established, and in 1994, Tuanshan Town was built. It is located in the northern part of the city, covering an area of 40 square kilometers with a population of 31,000. The FAN-WEI Highway and Dengcheng Avenue pass through the town. It has the advantage of a three-dimensional transportation network including land, water, and air. The town administers seven village committees: Dengcheng, Cai Zhuang, Tai Zi Wan, Lu Zhai, Yu Gang, Huang Jia, and Shi Po. The main agricultural activities include wheat, rice, vegetables, fruit and forestry, and animal husbandry. A high-tech industrial development zone is located within its boundaries.
