The Iron Ox at Zhen'an Temple is located at Tie'niu Jetty on the Jingjiang Embankment in Haoxue Town, Jiangling County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. The iron ox has an ancient and simple design, measuring 3 meters in length, 2 meters in height, and weighing 3.5 tons. It was cast by Tang Jisheng, the prefect of Jingzhou, to control flooding. Inscriptions on the iron ox read: “Rugged and strong, its virtue is pure and true. It brings forth beauty and treasures, guarding the riverbank.
