Xiang-E-Xi Red Army Street Martyrs' Cemetery

The Xiang-E-Xi Red Army Street Martyrs' Cemetery is located at Huizhen Temple in Shagang Town, Jiangling County, Jingzhou City.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, nearly 3,000 outstanding sons and daughters from the Shagang area sacrificed their lives. Among them, 286 were recognized as revolutionary martyrs by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China and the People's Government of Hubei Province, including 27 Red Army cadres at or above the county/brigade level, one cadre under provincial-level cultural relics protection, and Zou Zisheng, a military leader of the Western Hubei Special Committee, who was killed at the west bridgehead of Xihé in Shagang Town. In 1983, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Jiangling County funded the construction of the Xiang-E-Xi Red Army Street Martyrs' Cemetery.

Shagang Town: Shagang Town is located in Jiangling County, Jingzhou, Hubei Province, with a total population of about 60,000. It has one main street, along with historical sites such as Jielong Bridge (where He Long once visited) and Red Army Street. Wucha River is the main river in the town, dividing Shagang into two parts.
