The Tiger Roar Gorge Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tiger Roar Gorge Natural Scenic Area stands majestically amidst the peaks of Qinglong Mountain, Wulong Temple, and Tianjing Mountain. It integrates mountains, water, caves, and springs, gathering the culture of countless hills into one waterfall. It boasts the elegance of Qin mountains and Han waters, along with the majestic momentum of tiger roars and dragon roars. The scenic area features a scattered yet diverse array of mountains, water, springs, and cliffs, lush forests and bamboo groves in varying forms, embodying elements of awe, danger, wonder, beauty, ruggedness, and elegance, further reflecting the beautiful interdependence, connection, shared origin, and harmony between nature and all living things. There is motion within stillness, and stillness within motion; the dynamic and static complement each other. Still as a tiger’s den or dragon’s pool, dynamic as a dragon soaring or tiger charging. The scenic area enjoys a mild climate with distinct seasons, with an average altitude above 780 meters and daily temperatures not exceeding 13°C–16°C. It has never experienced major natural disasters. “The sun does not scorch the skin, nor does the cold pierce the flesh,” making it an ideal destination for summer retreats and leisure throughout the year.

The Tiger Roar Gorge Natural Scenic Area forms a strategic cluster with the Taoist holy site “Wudang Mountain,” Liubei’s “Dinosaur Lake,” Qingqu’s “Southern Ape Fossil” site, Meipu’s “Peking Man Fossil” birthplace, “Qinglong Spring,” “Dashisi Cultural Ruins,” “Ancient Qun Kingdom Capital Ruins,” “Tomb Complexes of Tang Prince Li Tai and Li Xin,” the political, economic, and cultural hub of northwestern Hubei in the Ming Dynasty—Yunfu City, Huangshi Township’s “Dragon Roar Gorge” and “Fairy Cave” tourist attractions. It serves as a key gateway where the cultures of Jingchu, the northwest, and the provinces of Hubei, Henan, and Shaanxi converge, characterized by Bashu customs and Qin style.

Dalu Township: Located on the northwestern edge of Yun County, at the border of Hubei and Shaanxi, Dalu Township is traversed by the Yunmiao Road. It borders Nanhua Tang and Yangxipu to the east, Qingqu and Chengguan Town to the south, Sanguankou of Yunxi to the west, and Zhaochuan Town of Shangnan County, Shaanxi Province, to the north, making it the most direct route from Central China to the northwest. Dalu Township is a veteran revolutionary base area where revolutionary leaders such as Li Xiannian used the natural barriers of Dalu to achieve victory during the Central Plains Breakout, laying a solid foundation for the liberation of Yunyang. The township has a total population of 12,000 and covers an area of 372 square kilometers.
