Frozen Green Ancient Architecture is a cultural heritage site protected by Hubei Province.

Frozen Green Ancient Architecture

Located in Dongqinggou Village, Hujia Ying Town, Yun County, it comprises Qing Dynasty constructions, including the Qingchang Garden, Niangniang Temple, and Yangsi Temple. The Qingchang Garden features a flush-gable roof, gray brick and blue tile wooden-frame construction in a two-courtyard style, composed of a front room, a central courtyard, and a rear hall. The Niangniang Temple has a flush-gable roof with double eaves, divided into upper and lower levels; the upper level is the main structure, consisting of three parallel rooms with remnants of cloud and immortal motifs on the walls, while the lower level serves as a passageway, resembling a street-overpass building. The Yangsi Temple shares the same structural style as residential buildings but lacks side wings, and inside, it preserves two merit steles from the Daoguang period. These structures offer physical material for researching the settlement patterns and architectural features of the Qing Dynasty.
