Chibi City Museum

The Chibi City Museum is affiliated with the Chibi City Cultural Relics Bureau and was established on January 1, 2002, on the picturesque banks of the Lushui River. The museum building covers a construction area of 3,400 square meters, including an exhibition space of 2,800 square meters and a storage area of 600 square meters.

The museum features six major exhibits: the relief “The Battle of Red Cliffs,” “Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Three Kingdoms, Han, and Jin Dynasties,” “Exhibition of Cultural Relics Unearthed from the Warring States Tombs in Tucheng,” “Comprehensive Cultural Relics Exhibition,” “Revolutionary Cultural Relics Exhibition,” and “Root Carving Exhibition.” Among them, there is one first-class relic, 28 second-class relics, and 68 third-class relics.

The relief “The Battle of Red Cliffs” depicts a historical scene of the allied forces of Sun Quan and Liu Bei planning to resist Cao Cao before the Battle of Red Cliffs. The “Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Three Kingdoms, Han, and Jin Dynasties” showcases 81 cultural relics from the Three Kingdoms, Han, and Jin periods, centered around artifacts unearthed from the ancient battlefield of Red Cliffs, fully reflecting the deep-rooted Three Kingdoms culture of the area.

The “Historical Cultural Relics Exhibition” displays 117 relics unearthed, formerly collected, or confiscated within Chibi City, ranging from the Neolithic Age to the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War.
