The famous Battle of Red Cliffs during the Three Kingdoms period and the "Ode to the Red Cliff" written by the great literary master Su Shi depict the majestic sight of towering cliffs. In fact, Taiwan also has such a spectacle—the cliff terrain of Little Huangshan in the Taitung and Nantou regions, formed by orogenic movements, features uniquely shaped rocks rising from exposed yellow earth, resembling a re-creation of China's Huangshan Mountains. It is quite grand and magnificent, attracting both visitors and photography enthusiasts who flock here to take photos, making it one of Taiwan's must-shoot hidden gems.
