The Former Residence Where Ye Ting Was Imprisoned is a Hubei Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

: The former residence where Ye Ting was imprisoned is located on the west bank of Gaojing River, outside the west gate of the old city of Enshi. In the winter of 1942, Ye Ting was transferred and imprisoned in Enshi, then the capital of Hubei Province. The residence is backed by red sandstone hills, faces a small river and the city wall, and is isolated from the outside world, making it very easy to guard. The site is a civil structure made of earth and wood, with a wooden frame in the middle, surrounded by earthen walls. It consists of three main rooms, two east wing rooms, with a total floor area of 180 square meters.

Ye Ting (1896–1946), courtesy name Xiyi, art name Xiping, was from Zhoushi Hui Shui Lou Village, Qiuchang Town, Huiyang County. He was a renowned Chinese military strategist and one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army of China.

He was born in 1896 in Huiyang County, Guangdong Province.

In 1911, at the age of 15, while studying at the Huizhou Prefectural Secondary Specialized School, Ye Ting resolutely cut off his queue (braided hair) and unequivocally supported Sun Yat-sen’s struggle against the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty.
