Located on Liujiaoting Street in Enshi City, during the Qing Dynasty, it was the government office of Shinan Prefecture. In the early years of the Republic of China, when Zhang Taiyan and Dong Biwu came to Enshi to carry out revolutionary activities, they stayed here. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was bombed by Japanese aircraft, and in the early years of the People’s Republic of China, it was rebuilt on the original site. It successively served as the offices of the Enshi Special District Commissioner’s Office, the Prefectural Party Committee, and the County Party Committee. Currently, three office buildings are preserved. Two of the prefectural party committee office buildings have a construction area of approximately 1,323.59 square meters, with a total site area of about 2,000 square meters. Built between 1952 and 1953, they are two-story brick-and-stone structures with wooden frames, featuring tiled hip-and-gable roofs, imitation European-style columns, arched wooden-framed glass windows, spacious interiors, and ceiling heights of up to 5 meters, giving them a solemn and imposing appearance. The walls still retain well-preserved slogans from the Cultural Revolution period and quotes from Chairman Mao. The former site of the Enshi County Party Committee office building is a two-story brick-and-wood tile-roofed house built between 1954 and 1956. This historical site holds significant historical value.
