Huhe Site

The Huhe Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Huhe Site is situated in the low mountainous and hilly region of southwestern Zhengzhou, within the extension of the northern foothills of Songshan Mountain. The terrain features a gentle slope descending from east to west. Most of the site is covered by the village. Pottery fragments have been found on the slopes of gullies in the southwestern and northeastern parts of the village. The pottery consists of both clay-bodied and sandy-clay pottery, with colors including red, gray, and brown. Decorative motifs include cord marks and plain surfaces, and identifiable artifacts include pottery jars, tripods, and basins. The discovery of this site holds significant importance for the study of the Neolithic Age.
