Fengle Farmstead

Fengle Farmstead is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Fengle Farmstead is a comprehensive ecological agriculture demonstration park invested and built by Zhengzhou Fengle Farmstead Co., Ltd.—a key agricultural industrialization leading enterprise in Zhengzhou and a Chinese import-export company—according to ISO9000 and ISO14000 standards. It serves as a modern urban park integrating agricultural production, specialty vegetable cultivation, livestock breeding, sightseeing tourism, catering and entertainment, and leisure vacations. The project was meticulously planned by a renowned doctoral supervisor from the Environmental Science Research Center of Peking University and designed by the Landscape Architecture Design Institute of Henan Agricultural University. Located in the Yellow River beach area in the northern part of Zhengzhou, it lies to the west of Zhengmao Highway and Mangshan Scenic Area, to the south of the Yellow River embankment, to the east of Huayuankou Scenic Area, and to the north of the Yellow River—the mother river of the Chinese nation. Covering a total area of 2,800 mu, its establishment has added a new highlight for the development of tourism in Zhengzhou and even the entire province, offering both local residents and visitors a new destination for leisure, vacation, and experiencing pastoral scenery.

Fengle Farmstead is divided into two main areas: Fengle Sunflower Garden and the Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park. Fengle Sunflower Garden is an agricultural sightseeing and tourism zone, covering over 1,000 mu with more than one million plants of the world-famous sunflower variety "Japanese Giant"—also known as Fengle’s Million Sunflower Garden. The sunflowers are planted in rotation, blooming from May to November each year, welcoming visitors month after month. Adjacent to the square entrance are interactive entertainment areas including a Pigeon Square, Ant Kingdom, Peacock Paradise, Piggy Playground, Squirrel Zone, Fish Labyrinth, and Sunflower Maze. From south to north, the farmstead features a lotus pond, wooden villa area, artificial lake, bonfire campsite, Taiwanese BBQ pavilion, Fengle Peach Garden, high-quality grapevines introduced from the U.S., an observation deck, rabbit enclosure, Cordyceps chicken farm, and at the very north, a 130-mu grassland-style pasture raising Nanyang yellow cattle and Hainan Dongshan sheep. Highlights of the Sunflower Garden include the Peach Blossom Villa Hot Spring Cottages and Fengle Clay Pot Roast Whole Lamb.

The Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park covers 1,000 mu and serves as Zhengzhou's high-tech modern agriculture zone for specialty vegetable cultivation. The park includes a 10,000-square-meter large-scale intelligent greenhouse, 50 solar greenhouses, 50 steel-framed plastic greenhouses, 100 mu of shading and pest control facilities, and a modern seedling cultivation workshop. Visitors flock to the Vegetable Forest and Hundred Melon Corridor. Additionally, the park grows premium and specialty vegetables such as Panax notoginseng leaves, ginseng leaves, Fortune Vegetable, Amaranth, New Zealand spinach, Japanese tomatoes, and Japanese sweet peppers. These rare vegetables differ from ordinary off-season greenhouse produce, are not yet available in Henan, and boast high nutritional value—with economic values 10–20 times that of regular greenhouse vegetables, ensuring strong market demand. The main operational model involves integrated control of planting, processing, and sales, adopting a company + base + farmer approach. The specialty vegetable processing line integrates picking, washing, inspection, processing, precision packaging, and finished product stages. Through this advanced process, produce is supplied to Zhengzhou residents and top-tier restaurants like Yuda, Zhongzhou, Fengleyuan, and Yuexiu, as well as to the Maozhuang and Chenzhai Vegetable Wholesale Markets for distribution to surrounding regions and provinces. Meanwhile, through China Southern Airlines, the produce enters international markets in Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and South Korea, generating export earnings.

Fengle Farmstead is not only a modern ecological agriculture enterprise focused on planting, horticulture, and breeding, but also an excellent destination for people to get close to nature and enjoy its beauty.

Attraction Transportation

Take bus No. 16 from Zhengzhou Railway Station and get off at the Yellow River Embankment, then walk 600 meters east. Alternatively, take “Tourist Line 1” from Medical College directly to the scenic area entrance.
